Information we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and run our business:

• What you give us in a form or email: your name, work email, company, phone number, location, the service you are interested in, and anything you write about your project.
• How you found us: the page you first landed on and any campaign tags in the link (for example utm_source), so we know which channels work.
• Technical information your browser sends, such as IP address and user agent, logged by our servers for security and abuse prevention.

How we use it

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertising networks for behavioural advertising.

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, our legal bases are: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and securing our services, and compliance with legal obligations.

• To reply to your enquiry, prepare estimates and proposals, and deliver services you engage us for.
• To keep a record of our conversations in our customer relationship management (CRM) system.
• To protect the site against spam and abuse.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

Our sister company TechKnow Global (also TK-TechKnow LLC) operates the form-handling service and CRM that receive enquiries from this site. We also use service providers who host our infrastructure, send our email and run our CRM (including GoHighLevel and Google Workspace). They act under contract and only on our instructions. We disclose information to authorities only where the law requires it.

International transfers

We are a US company with a delivery centre in India, so information you send us may be processed in the United States and India. Where UK or EU personal data is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Calls and text messages

When you submit a form on this site you consent to us contacting you by phone, text message and email about your enquiry. Consent is not a condition of any service, and you can withdraw it at any time. To stop text messages, reply STOP. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.

Cookies and analytics

We may use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find us. It is not connected to advertising products and is not used to make decisions about individuals. Our forms store your first landing page in your browser’s session storage for the length of your visit, so an enquiry is credited to the right source. You can block analytics scripts in any major browser.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to serve the relationship and meet record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, unless we must keep it by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. These include rights under UK and EU GDPR, US state privacy laws such as the CCPA, and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Email info@thetechknow.com and we will respond within the time the applicable law requires. You may also complain to your local data protection authority, such as the ICO in the UK.

Security

We restrict access to personal information to people who need it, send it over encrypted connections, and store it on secured systems. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your project details as confidential.
