Features
What GuestSide does
Tap or scan, no app
An NFC tag on the table or in the room opens the venue full-screen in the phone's browser. Every tag carries a QR code for phones without NFC.
Live order board
Orders and requests land on a live board with sound, so nothing is missed on a busy pass. Guests track their order status on their own phone.
Menu edits that go live at once
Change prices, photos, offers and hours yourself. Mark a dish sold out and it grays out on every open phone, with no reprint.
Diet filters and allergens
Guests filter the menu by veg, non-veg and allergens, and see what is popular now. Fewer questions for staff, fewer walkouts.
Hotel room service and requests
In-room dining on the hotel's own clock, housekeeping and concierge requests with live status, room essentials and the Wi-Fi password in one tap.
Feedback, reviews and rewards
The app collects guest feedback, sends happy guests to Google reviews, and runs a loyalty loop for regulars with nothing to install.

The problem it solves
GuestSide brings QR/NFC ordering to restaurants and contactless room service to hotels. A guest taps a tag and orders or asks for help from their own phone. There is no app to download, no login and no table number to type.
It replaces what paper and the desk phone do badly. A printed menu cannot tell a guest a dish is sold out, and a new price means a new print run. Guests wait to be noticed before they can order. In hotels, the front desk takes call after call for towels, the Wi-Fi password and a wake-up call.
How it works
Each table or room gets one NFC tag with a QR code on it. That is the whole installation: no tablets, screens, card readers or wiring. The tag opens the venue's own colors, fonts, logo and cover photo, so a steakhouse and a café look nothing alike.
Staff work from an admin dashboard. They edit the menu, prices, photos and offers, watch the live order board, and write new tags from their own phone. Totals are computed from the tax rates the venue sets.
For hotels, menus open and close on the hotel's own schedule, so breakfast closes and the late-night menu opens by itself. Housekeeping and concierge requests show a live status. A four-digit PIN issued at check-in locks out the previous guest without touching the tag.
Pricing is per venue, not per order. GuestSide never takes a cut of what guests spend, and there is no contract.
Why we built it
GuestSide is built and run by TechKnow, the same team that builds web and mobile software for clients. One backend serves both restaurants and hotels. Every query is pinned to the venue's own tenant, so one venue can never read another's data.
That is the multi-tenant web app development we do for clients, and the same speed we bring to MVP development. We built GuestSide in Srinagar for restaurants and hotels across Kashmir and the rest of India. See it at guestside.app.
FAQ
GuestSide questions
1Do guests need to download an app?
No. Tapping the tag opens the menu full-screen in the phone's browser, in the venue's branding. Every tag also carries a QR code, so a phone without NFC works the same way.
2What does GuestSide cost?
It is priced per venue at ₹699–₹4,999 a month, depending on how many tables are covered. There is no commission on what guests spend and no contract.
3Does it work for hotels as well as restaurants?
Yes, the same platform runs both. In a hotel, the tag sits in the room. It opens in-room dining, housekeeping and concierge requests, room essentials, the Wi-Fi password and a local guide.
